Does a gap in my education matter?

Rarely for online and distance programmes. A gap is one of the most common reasons people choose them.
Distance and online modes exist substantially to serve people who did not follow a continuous path. A gap of a few years is unremarkable.
Some institutions ask for a short explanation; almost none refuse on that basis alone.
What to check
- Be straightforward about the gap rather than leaving it unexplained.
- If an institution treats a gap as a problem, there are many that will not.
