Can anyone guarantee me a seat?
Short answer
Only the institution, and only where admission is on marks. Nobody can guarantee a seat that a statutory counselling process controls.
Where admission is on qualifying marks, a seat is straightforward and no intermediary is needed to secure it. Where counselling governs the seat — medical admission being the clearest case — no guarantee is deliverable.
An offer to deliver what cannot be delivered is the definition of the problem.
