How do I know if a counsellor or agent is genuine?
Short answer
A genuine one never asks you for cash, never asks for an OTP, and can name the awarding body without hesitating.
Counselling itself is a normal part of admissions. What is not normal is money changing hands with an individual, or vagueness about who awards the qualification.
You should never need to pay a person to be admitted somewhere that admits on marks.
Important. An OTP request ends the conversation. There is no legitimate reason for it.
What to check
- Ask which body awards the certificate. Note whether the answer is immediate and specific.
- Pay only the institution, only into its own account, only against a receipt.
